Desktop app · invite only

Overlane for Mac and Windows

The full Overlane studio as a desktop app. Build and run pipelines on your own machine with the same deterministic engine as the browser, and your data staying where it is. Downloads are by invitation while we work with our first pilot teams.

macOS · Apple silicon (M1 or later) Windows 10 or 11 · 64-bit

If you opened your personal invite link, it's already filled in. Otherwise type the code from your invitation: it looks like OVL-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Install it

On a Mac

  1. Open the .dmg you just downloaded (it's in your Downloads folder).
  2. Drag Overlane into Applications.
  3. Open Overlane once and allow it. This early build isn't notarised by Apple yet, so the first launch shows a security prompt — click Done, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to Overlane. You only do this once; after that it opens normally.
  4. Click Activate Overlane below, or enter the same invite code in the app when it asks.

On macOS 14 or earlier you can instead right-click Overlane in Applications, choose Open, then click Open again.

On Windows

  1. Run the installer you just downloaded (Overlane-…-setup.exe, in your Downloads folder). It installs just for you, so no administrator rights are needed.
  2. If “Windows protected your PC” appears, click More info, then Run anyway. This early pilot build isn't code-signed yet, so Windows doesn't recognise it. You only see this once.
  3. Open Overlane when the install finishes (it's in the Start menu).
  4. Click Activate Overlane below, or enter the same invite code in the app when it asks.

No invite?

The desktop app is in private pilot. You can try the product in your browser right now with no sign-up, or email james@overlane.ai to ask about joining the pilot.
